But if I were you (and maybe it's a little bit easy to say because I really don't know how it feels to produce an album and write songs) I won't be scared at all. I think your success in the history shows that being honest is a good thing that connects lots of people to your music. Another Phase is one of the jewels you've made and I think it's one of the most personal albums you've made so far. And it made your breakthrough in Norway... How did you feel when you brought it out? The same way as you feel now? At the other hand, people are now expecting a lot more of you than they ever did before. But I think that even if most reviewers of newspapers say your album is worse (what I not expect by the way... :-p) an album could be really good since we all know you put lots of personal things in it. And when you ever get old, you can look back and say "If you want to know how I've lived, just listen to my music". Isn't that something that's just really cool? :-) At least lots of people want it I think... so you're a lucky person! No... I think you should not be scared at all Maria. It will be fine. And if 'the big public' didn't like it, it's their opinion. As long as you believe in yourself and your album, it's okay.

I have listened to a couple of your new songs on youtube and if I compare those to your first CD, I hear that your voice has become more and more beautiful in the years. You can do a lot more with your voice than when you were younger. So even if you still think you are too personal, I know that you know that your voice has grown and you are really good. Don't be sad or insecure - I'm sure it'll all be OK!

  I believe there are people who listened to your music for all of these years and they know about how you are able to express yourself with music. That the lyrics are a therapy for you and I know how they can inspire other people, they do to me anyway.
  I think it is amazing how you are able to put yourself out there and expose in the way that you do trough your music, I think it must be something that takes a lot of courage. Sometimes I wish that I could have a gift like that..
  Anyways, don't be scared for what other people say.
  Ofcourse you find it important how other people respond to your lyrics, but you are so right for writing it for yourself instead of keeping others in mind. Only in that way it will become something that's from the heart and something that is all yours.
  You made me very curious to what your new album is going to be like and I am sure that it will be, once again, amazing!

I laughed so hard about this sentence..cause that is exactly what happened to the bitches that teased me out of a town..and because of that sentence I feel so proud..because I'm at school and I have everything where I want it to have now,after a very long period of being depressed ..and I feel so much better then them right now..

• Written by frkeske on Sun Aug 03 17:41 you have every right to have the opinion that "cause and effect" is an extremely personal album and that it's your side of the story - we, the fans, believe you when you say it. but I also think that many of us feel that this album can contribute to our own lives in many ways, that it will be recognizable for us despite the fact that the songs are written solely from your perspective. to me music is all about being able to, at some level, recognize the situation described - and also that the songs give me ideas and make me create my own stories for the things that I feel happen in the songs - and then there are those songs that I listen to over and over again and every time I discover something new. that's quality music to me.

  and it's fascinating to see and hear you exploring a new sound :)

  I have a question: when will there be news about your concert dates in norway?
  I am starting to itch after getting to see you live again (the last time I saw you live, I went to parkpop and met up with some of the people at the mmmusic.no-forum and then we were at your concert although I'm norwegian and they're dutch) :)
